We want to give our customers access to the best meats possible. With excellent feeding programs and consistent marbling standards, Alberta’s cattle industry is widely considered the premier source of Canadian beef. Our poultry and pork products are sourced from farms here in Ontario.

The aging process differs based on the specific cut of beef. In general, steaks are aged between 30 and 90 days. You can learn more about our premium, grain-finished beef products here.

While aging beef can certainly impact (and improve) taste and tenderness, it does not have any impact on the grade, as cattle are graded at the time of slaughter.

Not necessarily, but it can be. The CAB program has strict breed-specific requirements for marbling, muscling, and maturity that typically exceed the threshold for an AAA grade. In some cases, CAB qualifies as Canada Prime.

One of the key factors when grading beef, marbling refers to the small streaks of fat within the muscle. Marbling improves flavour, juiciness, and tenderness when the meat is cooked, and is more pronounced in higher-grade beef.

The products listed on our website are mostly priced per pound. Because our meat is cut fresh, we process the initial order based on estimated weight. We will update the price based on the exact product weights within 24-48 hours when picking and packing your order for delivery.

Air-chilling chicken preserves the bird’s natural taste and colour without any additional (and unnecessary) water retention.

Grain-finished beef refers to cattle that have been fed a grain diet in the final months to boost the intramuscular fat content, improve marbling, and create a better-quality steak.
